How to remove quartz burn mark (Cambria)

Q. Is there a way to repair a quartz (cambria product) burn mark?

A. The problem with a burn mark in the Cambria (or any other engineered stone or Solid Surface) is the burn mark is in the resin in the material. That is what burned. Depending upon the type and severity of the burn sometimes it can be honed out, but it must be honed by a professional that understands the honing and polishing process for these types of materials. The process is somewhat different than the process for marble and granite. If you start with too low of a grit diamond you could have problems.

I would recommend you contact a restoration contractor. Please refer to the Find a PRO link to locate one in your area.
