How do I preserve my floor’s finish?

Q. How do I preserve my stone floor’s finish?

A. The number one thing you can do to preserve the finish of your natural stone is to keep dust, dirt, and grit from accumulating on your floor. These abrasive substances create small scratches that build up over time, causing dullness and traffic patterns. Use high-quality floor mats at entrances. Sweep frequently. Damp mop as needed. For more floor care tips see our free, downloadable Stone and Tile Care Guide. If your floor is already showing signs of wear, contact your stone and tile restoration contractor to have the stone refinished. If you do not already have a PRO, contact us.
