faded granite

Q. I have a granite table with a lacquer finish that has been removed. With the use of silica sand to smooth it and Clorox and water to clean it, the grey, silver and black faded to a much lighter color. I heard to darken it, you can use a dye resin. Can you tell me the name of this product and where can I get it, or can it be restored to its original color. I would appreciate all the help you can give me.

A. Apply a good quality enhancing sealer. It will give you that 'wet' look (how it looks when it's wet). It is important that you test an inconspicuous area first to see if you like the results.
